On Tuesday 20th January 2015, Ursuline College held their business experience day for pupils in conjunction with EBP Kent (Education Business Partnership) based in Sandwich in Kent.
EBP work with many local secondary schools to give pupils valuable experience of what they can expect in the business world – details can be found on their website at www.ebpkent.co.uk.
Ursuline College , (www.ursuline.kent.sch.co.uk) a Specialist Sports College, based in Westgate-on-Sea, Kent have been using the services of EBP and the sanitary bin services of VR Sani-Co Ltd for a number of years now.
Many local businesses provide support for the day in terms of involving pupils in various work projects and presentations during the morning, and in the afternoon pupils can quiz employers about their businesses, what they do within the business, how they got the job and what their future aspirations are.
VR Sani-Co Ltd has assisted with this project for around 6 or 7 years now when their managing director Martin Crowther has been involved in the afternoon sessions. Many other local companies such as Miles and Barr Estate Agents and Boys and Maughan Solicitors have also provided staff to assist with the project.
