What a Year Supporting Jo\’s Cervical Cancer Trust Charity

It’s been a whole year since we decided to support Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust Charity and what a year it’s been.

Jo’s Cervical Trust truly is an amazing charity, reaching out to women who are affected by cervical cancer and abnormalities. https://www.jostrust.org.uk/

Today we received our certificate of recognition for raising nearly double what we thought we would for the charity. Amount raised being £1921.26 in this last year.

\"certificate\"Throughout the year VR Sani-Co based in Herne Bay in Kent has been giving a percentage of our new business to the charity. Specifically, new sanitary bin business which is the company’s main washroom service. In addition we now have “smear” awareness stickers on our sanitary bin units keeping to our word of spreading awareness for ladies to have their smear test which could ultimately save their life.

VR have also done a couple of events in order to raise money and awareness for the charity.

We held our first Charity Golf Day back in October 2015 at Stonelees Golf course in Ramsgate, Kent and with the ticket sales and raffle raised over £1000. It was a fantastic day and everyone who attended commented on what a great day it was. A complete bonus that the sun shone all day!

Our customers were so generous giving us raffle prizes, from tickets for Wildwood in Herne Bay to bottles of wine from our local off licence Beer brothers we realised how generous people and businesses were and were so grateful. We are already planning our next golf day this October again at Stonelees Golf Club and look forward to raising more money and awareness for the charity.

Then just last month Phil Greene, VR Sani-Co’s business development manager completed his first triathlon at Leeds Castle in Maidstone, Kent. Phil did amazingly and raised a good amount for Jo’s Trust. Everyone here at VR was so proud of him it took a lot of training to complete and swimming in the murky moat at the castle was an achievement in itself.

\”All in all a hugely successful year supporting this outstanding charity we look forward to another successful year ahead\”.
